I cannot go into Z Gallerie

So, I'm at Atlantic Station on this gorgeous Atlanta day, and I decide to "walk through" Z Gallerie. I'm thinking, sure, why not, I'll just browse.

wrong. so, so, wrong.

As my friend Laura and I always start out a sentence saying "If you ever know anything thing about me...." well, if you ever know anything about me, know that I love Z Gallerie.

Modern/contemporary/shabby chic/traditional/eclectic/everything Morgan likes

Of course I'm going to show you, duh:

just bought these bad boys

okay, so I like grey, no biggie

I'm kind of obsessed with eggplant too

"If I were ever a plate..."

great accent piece!

I mean, who doesn't need a jeweled picture frame?

I need to stop.

Soooo Apparently I'm a Chef?

Actually, I am no chef. Let's go ahead and clarify that.

I can however, make a FEW things that are a) edible and b) worth having again.

One that tops the list (of probably a total of four things) is spaghetti sauce. Yes, I know, EVERYONE can make spaghetti sauce, but I have the recipe that was passed down from my Grandmama and mom and will stomp on any Olive Garden recipe.

So now, I will share (because I'm nice like that):

You'll need:
1 pound (or more if you prefer) LEAN ground beef

1/2 chopped jumbo sweet onion

1 can of Hunt's tomato sauce

1 small can of Hunt's tomato paste

1/2 jar of Prego Roasted Garlic & Herb sauce
(you can choose any, this is just my fav)

Garlic Powder

Onion Powder
I'm apparently a McCormick spokesperson....

Oregano
(i LOVE oregano)

1 bay leaf

and lastly, salt and pepper

So, what to do now you say?
  • brown meat and chopped onion together in a dutch oven; drain
  • combine tomato sauce, paste, Prego, and all spices together
  • judge your spice amounts based on your preference (i'm heavy on the oregano!)
  • stir, cover and simmer for 1-2 hours
Don't forget to pair it up with whole grain noodles!

So now you know! Happy cooking!

Getting Comfy in the Home

These past couple weeks have been nothing short of a whirlwind! Things have been so crazy lately and I'm having trouble finding 5 minutes to take a breather and mellow out. However, I did find a few moments to explore Building 1 and all it has to offer. Needless to say, I have a "future home" wish list:

love this.

totally digging the wall art clock

love a lemon/green apple color pallet!

this would be perfect at the lake!

anything wine related is a sold item with me!

where do you put the light bulb?

I would die for this. This. Is. A. Must.

Now, all I need is a home to put these great ideas to good use.

Goodnight!
